Theme: The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
We completed our Quarter 2 series last Sunday. It is our hope that you saw something new from the life of Jesus. And this Sunday, we kick off our Quarter 3 series on the person and work of the Holy Spirit. We start with a look at the Person of the Holy Spirit. See outline attached for your reference.
Key learning Points should include:
1. The Holy Spirit is a person not an impersonal force or influence. He has personal qualities and functions. And He has all the attributes of God.
2. The Holy Spirit has been together with God the Father and the Son before the beginning of creation. He has featured together with them throughout the times. He is the Third Person of The Trinity.
3. Jesus introduces the Holy Spirit to His disciples as another Helper who the Father would give to them in His name to replace Him after His departure from the earth. The Holy Spirit was given to believers to be in them and be with them and abide with them forever. He was given to be our Helper, Comforter, Teacher and Guide; To help us operate optimally as children of God and as ambassadors of God’s kingdom.4
