Theme: The Urgency of the Last Days

Good Evening Brethren,

We thank God for the end of another work week.

Please find attached the outline for this Sunday’s Bible study on “The Day of the Lord”.

Key Learning Points:

  1. The day of the Lord will come unexpectedly and suddenly as a thief in the night, but it should not be a surprise to believers or a concern, because we are sons of light not of darkness (1 Thessalonians 5: 1-2).
  2. Believers must guard against being lulled into sleep by the pursuit of peace and security in the world, and by all the revelries going on. Rather, they must prepare for the day of the Lord by being watchful, sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet which is the hope of salvation (1 Thessalonians 5: 3-8).
  3. We must encourage one another daily as we see the Day approaching especially since we already know where we stand on that day. By so doing, each person will be strong in faith to wait for that day (Hebrews 10: 24-25; 1 Thessalonians 5: 9-11).

May we live in the consciousness of Christ’s return, and be filled with expectation and excitement šŸ™.

See you on Sunday by God’s grace!
