Theme: The Acts of the Apostles
Dear All,
Last week, we saw how God used Paul’s silence about his rights to advance the gospel about Jesus into the lives of the Philippian Jailer and his household.
This week, our topic is: The Berean and Athenian Experience.
Our key learning from this study should include that:
- While the Great Commission is God’s work, His servants must be resilient in the face of difficulties and resistance.
- Like the Bereans, we MUST take the Scriptures, as we have it, as the only and final authority for all of life, far and above the words or experience of any human. And to avoid error and falling into false teachings, a daily habit of searching the Scriptures is a MUST.
- No human exists apart from God. He is the One who created all things and all men; the gospel of the resurrected Christ is God’s only remedy for sin, for Jews and Gentiles, atheist and idol worshipers alike; no matter how foolish and how offensive it may be to some.
May we never keep silent about the gospel of Jesus just because some think it foolish or find it offensive.
