Brethren,

Good evening. Hope this email finds you well.

I am beginning to feel as if David’s is a complete school😇 If you have been following the quarter series so far, you are likely to agree with me.

This Sunday, we approach David’s friendship with Jonathan to learn a thing or two about true and loyal friendship. And there is a lot to learn from the pair on the subject.

Key Learning points include:
1. The strength of the friendship between David and Jonathan lies in their shared faith in and fear of God. It is only when we have these ingredients in our relationships that we can have true, loyal friendships that are strong.
2. True and loyal friendships profit future generations
3. Like Jonathan, Christ willingly gave up His throne to establish a covenant friendship with every believer. So, all believers in Christ have become a covenant community, bound together by Christ’s shed blood on the cross.

Please find attached the outline for Sunday 28th February on the unchangeable and true attributes of God.

Key Learning Points should include:

  1. That God is unchangeable does not mean that He can change but simply does not. It means that He cannot change. God was the same when He created the earth as He is today. He will always be the same, in all His perfections and glory, for all eternity.
  2. God is true to His Word. So often, we put our hopes in the things and people of this world which let us down and pass away, but the Word of the Lord endures forever (1 Peter 1:25). Our Bible is not just another book on the shelf of history, but it is living, powerful and filled with promises made and promises kept to the letter. 2 Timothy 2:13 reassures us that “even if we are unfaithful, He will continue to be faithful, for He cannot deny who he is.
  3. Whatever God says He will do, He will do. Therefore, when He says those who believe in Jesus shall have eternal life, you can rest assured that will take place. Just as sure is His providing a way out of temptation, protection from the flaming arrows of the enemy, and Satan’s eventual demise by being thrown into the Lake of Fire forever
