Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Please find attached the Bible Study Outline for Sunday, March 9 on the topic Priscilla and Aquilla: A Godly Marriage for Ministry.  This is the next in our Quarter Series on the Impact of Unsung Heroes in the Bible.  The main texts are Acts 18:1-4, 24-26; Romans 16:3-4, and 1 Corinthians 16:19.  The key learning points are as follows:

1.       God can use anyone for the work of ministry regardless of their age, marital status, tribe, background, profession, socioeconomic status, etc. We are all ministers in the marketplace. Acts 18:3-4
2.       There are many ways we can contribute to the work of ministry given our different skills, gifting, unique qualities. Some teach, some host Bible studies and fellowships, some assist pastors, preachers and evangelists, some serve, some clean, some sing, some sponsor missions and activities, etc. Each one plays an important role in advancing the Kingdom of God. Romans 16:1-15
3.       The work of ministry can be painful, inconvenient and risky at times. Nevertheless, God wants us to be an active part of establishing His Kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven and will reward us according to our deeds. Romans 16:3-4.

Yours in His service

This Sunday, we shall be looking at the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for ministry. Please see attached for your perusal.

Key Learning Points:

1.      The Holy Spirit is God’s power for ministry. The Christian believer cannot truly be effective in ministry without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit

2.      The Holy Spirit empowers the believer with spiritual gifts for ministry so that Christ is glorified in the Church. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Ephesians 4:11-16)

3. The primary work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer is to empower us to be Christ’s witnesses.

Jesus: His Ministry to Children https://victoriafellowshipchurch.org/jesus-his-ministry-to-children/ https://victoriafellowshipchurch.org/jesus-his-ministry-to-children/#respond Sun, 30 May 2021 05:00:48 +0000 http://www.victoriafellowshipchurch.org/?p=904 Read more…]]> Theme: Lessons from the Life of Jesus

We continue this Sunday with our series on Lessons from the Life of Jesus. This Sunday, we shall be looking at Jesus’ ministry to children.

Key Learnings should include:

1.     God’s love for children is evident in scripture. Children are a vital part of God’s plan, and a treasure of His earthly and heavenly kingdom. They are precious in His sight!

2.     Ministering to children was not a secondary ministry or a distraction from His main ministry; it was a critical part of His ministry; one He treasured and gave His full attention.

3.     Jesus’ followers are to reflect the faith and humility, simplicity, and lack of social power of children as an example of how they should live.

May we grow in childlike trust in Jesus Christ

Jesus: His Healing Ministry https://victoriafellowshipchurch.org/jesus-his-healing-ministry/ https://victoriafellowshipchurch.org/jesus-his-healing-ministry/#respond Sun, 16 May 2021 05:00:47 +0000 http://www.victoriafellowshipchurch.org/?p=891 Read more…]]> Theme: The Life of Jesus

We continue our quarter series on Lessons from the Life of Jesus. This Sunday, we focus on His healing Ministry. Attached is the outline for your reference.

Key Learnings should include:

1.     The healing miracles, signs and wonders our Lord performed testify to the truth of His person, the son of God and message. John specifically states that the miracles he included in his gospel were for the purpose that his reader “may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you might have life in his name” (20:31).

2.     Jesus’ healing miracles reveals attributes of God such as compassion, love, mercy and faithfulness

3.     Jesus used His healing ministry to paint a picture of our spiritual state. As we preach the gospel and as God heals people through our ministry, we must remember that a miracle does no ultimate good for the people who receive it if they reject the gospel.

May you experience a rich visitation of God in all His compassion

Jesus: His Ministry – The Role of Women https://victoriafellowshipchurch.org/jesus-his-ministry-the-role-of-women/ https://victoriafellowshipchurch.org/jesus-his-ministry-the-role-of-women/#respond Sun, 09 May 2021 05:00:00 +0000 http://www.victoriafellowshipchurch.org/?p=883 Read more…]]> Theme: The Life of Jesus

Our hope is that you are rejoicing in Jesus amid the challenges of life.

Our Bible study this Sunday is taking a look at Jesus’ Ministry – The Role of Women. This is fitting as the Sunday is also making Mothers’ Day

Key Learning Points should include:

1.     It is not only men who are expected to follow Jesus. Women also need to follow Jesus because God’s original plan for humanity is that they (male and female) be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion …. (Genesis 1:28).’

2.      Women’s role in ministry is not confined to behind-the-scenes kitchen and family roles. They too can serve the purposes of God with their financial and material resources

3.     Women need to learn deep theological truths as much as anyone else

See attached outline for your reference. May I encourage you to take some time to prepare ahead so that we can have a more enriching discussion.

May God bless all the mothers of VFC.
