Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Please find attached Bible  s‬‬‬‬tudy outline for 13 October on the topic “Jesus, Our Ultimate Example of Sacrifice and Service.  This is the second in our Quarter’s series on the theme “ Living a Life of Sacrifice and Service”.  The main text is Mathew 20:20-28 and the key learning points are as follows:

1.    Christians are to “do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit” (Phil 2:7) because it blinds, sow’s division, distracts and is opposite to the “mind that was in Christ”.  Mathew 20:21,24; Phil2:5-8
2.    Jesus calls us to servant leadership which He modelled for us by submitting to the authority of the Father in all things and giving up His rights in order to serve. Mathew 20:23, Luke 22:27; John 13:14
3.    Jesus is our ultimate example of sacrificial service having “given His life a ransom for many” by going beyond physical death to enduring the “full cup of God’s wrath” on our behalf knowing what it would cost Him.  Mathew 20:28; 26:38-39

Dear Brethren,

I trust that this email meets you well. Here we are in the last few days of 2023. Our God is good and He is worthy of our praise forever!

Please find attached, the Bible Study Outline for the last Sunday of 2023 titled, “Come, Lord Jesus”, with scriptural reference from Revelation 22:1-21. Such an apt lesson as we come to the end of our Quarter Theme, “The Urgency of the Last Days”. How deep is the Father’s love for us, that as He penned down His final words in the Holy Scriptures, it was to remind us that Jesus is coming again soon, so that we can ENSURE that we and our friends, and our neighbors and all our loved ones are ready.

 Key Learning Points:

          1. What rapture awaits us when Jesus comes: We will finally get to see God face to           face and bask in the radiance of His glory. Now, that’s something worth

          looking forward to. (V. 3-5)

2. “Jesus is coming” is a trustworthy prophecy. Believers should not waver through unbelief and be dulled into apathy or disobedience. (V.6-7; 12-14)

3. Those who await His coming should make every effort to invite others in. (V. 17, 20).

Tell somebody today…. JESUS IS COMING SOON. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!

Here’s wishing you and yours, a JOYOUS 2024 in advance.

 Yours in Christ,

Attached is our Bible study outline for Sunday June 27, 2021 for your reference. The topic is: Jesus, His teaching on the word of God.

Key Learning Points:

  1. God’s Word is our “very life.” The foundation of God’s Kingdom is His Word. So, we need to do our best to hear, understand and accept it for it to produce the desired fruit.
  2. The enemy cannot destroy the seed. But if given a foothold, he will try to manipulate the environment of the Seed, (i.e., our heart), so that it does not produce its intended fruit.
  3. God’s Words – the “incorruptible seed which lives and abides forever.” (1 Peter 1:23), capable of producing even a hundred-fold fruit. But we have responsibility for ensuring a right environment for it to bear fruit.

May the word of God prosper in our lives. Amen

It is Fathers’ Day this Sunday and our Bible Study takes a look at Jesus’ teaching on the Father’s Love. Please see attached outline for your reference and preparation.Key lesson should include:

  1. When the son was old enough to make his own decision (foolish as it was) the father let him make it ─ he loved him enough to let go. God, our Father, is like this. He lets us go too. We are free to disobey Him if we want. We can reject and abandon the Church. We can ignore all the wise counsel of His word and promptings of His Holy Spirit and go our own way if we want to.
  2. But like the father in the parable, God loves us enough to deny Himself and allow His children to choose the way they live and live the way they choose. Also, like the father in the parable, God’s love does not end with a “goodbye.” He eagerly awaits our return. A father’s love should be strong enough to risk rejection to gain true faithfulness and love in return
  3. Like the father of the prodigal, any repentant son or daughter can expect full restoration from our Heavenly Father and not condemnation.

May God strengthen us in our inner man so that we can get a better grasp of how deep and wide and strong is His love for us.
Happy Fathers’ Day.

Our studies on the series on Lessons from the Life and Ministry of Jesus brings us, this Sunday, to His teaching on forgiveness. Please see the outline attached for your reference.

Key Learning Points should include:

1.     Forgiveness is a central theme of the Christian faith. And as difficult as it sometimes may be, we must endeavor to live by it in all its representations

2.     Forgiveness is an obligation believers owe to one another and to others (Matthew 6:14-15). To do otherwise is sin (John 20:23)

3.     Forgiveness is what makes our relationship with God possible. While we were still sinners, God forgave us (Romans 5:8)

Every blessing to you.

Please find attached the outline for Sunday June 6 for your review ahead of our adult Bible study.

 Key Learning Points should include:

1.      Prayer is a way of staying connected with God

2.      Jesus taught us that prayer is submission to the will of God

3.      Jesus’ prayers were wide-ranging both in scope and depth and continue forever – and this should serve as a model for us today.

I pray that God’s grace may abound to us as we grow in the ministry of prayer.

Jesus: His Ministry to Children https://victoriafellowshipchurch.org/jesus-his-ministry-to-children/ https://victoriafellowshipchurch.org/jesus-his-ministry-to-children/#respond Sun, 30 May 2021 05:00:48 +0000 http://www.victoriafellowshipchurch.org/?p=904 Read more…]]> Theme: Lessons from the Life of Jesus

We continue this Sunday with our series on Lessons from the Life of Jesus. This Sunday, we shall be looking at Jesus’ ministry to children.

Key Learnings should include:

1.     God’s love for children is evident in scripture. Children are a vital part of God’s plan, and a treasure of His earthly and heavenly kingdom. They are precious in His sight!

2.     Ministering to children was not a secondary ministry or a distraction from His main ministry; it was a critical part of His ministry; one He treasured and gave His full attention.

3.     Jesus’ followers are to reflect the faith and humility, simplicity, and lack of social power of children as an example of how they should live.

May we grow in childlike trust in Jesus Christ

Please find attached the outline for Sunday May 23, for your perusal.

Key learning points

1.   Jesus reached out generally to the crowd that followed Him, teaching and preaching the kingdom of God to them everywhere making use of every opportunity.

2.   Jesus also sought to have one-on-one engagement with individuals regardless of who they were or what the society had labelled them. He looked out for those who were seeking and thirsting for the kingdom of God.

3.   Not everybody Jesus reached out to ended up receiving the gift of salvation because they had a choice. However, that did not deter Him to continue the purpose for which He came.

Hebrews 6:10

Jesus: His Healing Ministry https://victoriafellowshipchurch.org/jesus-his-healing-ministry/ https://victoriafellowshipchurch.org/jesus-his-healing-ministry/#respond Sun, 16 May 2021 05:00:47 +0000 http://www.victoriafellowshipchurch.org/?p=891 Read more…]]> Theme: The Life of Jesus

We continue our quarter series on Lessons from the Life of Jesus. This Sunday, we focus on His healing Ministry. Attached is the outline for your reference.

Key Learnings should include:

1.     The healing miracles, signs and wonders our Lord performed testify to the truth of His person, the son of God and message. John specifically states that the miracles he included in his gospel were for the purpose that his reader “may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you might have life in his name” (20:31).

2.     Jesus’ healing miracles reveals attributes of God such as compassion, love, mercy and faithfulness

3.     Jesus used His healing ministry to paint a picture of our spiritual state. As we preach the gospel and as God heals people through our ministry, we must remember that a miracle does no ultimate good for the people who receive it if they reject the gospel.

May you experience a rich visitation of God in all His compassion

Our hope is that you are rejoicing in Jesus amid the challenges of life.

Our Bible study this Sunday is taking a look at Jesus’ Ministry – The Role of Women. This is fitting as the Sunday is also making Mothers’ Day

Key Learning Points should include:

1.     It is not only men who are expected to follow Jesus. Women also need to follow Jesus because God’s original plan for humanity is that they (male and female) be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion …. (Genesis 1:28).’

2.      Women’s role in ministry is not confined to behind-the-scenes kitchen and family roles. They too can serve the purposes of God with their financial and material resources

3.     Women need to learn deep theological truths as much as anyone else

See attached outline for your reference. May I encourage you to take some time to prepare ahead so that we can have a more enriching discussion.

May God bless all the mothers of VFC.
