Good morning dear brothers and sisters,

I attach the latest study outline in our Quarter Series: “Strengthening our Faith.  The topic is Being an effective witness and the main text is 1 Peter 3:15.  The key leaning points are as follows:

   To be an effective witness of Christ:   

   We must submit to His Lordship and live in communion with Him (1 Peter 3:15)

1.    We must understand what we believe, why we are a Christian and be able to articulate our faith humbly, thoughtfully, and without fear in the power of the Holy Spirit  (1 Peter 3:15, Acts 1:8)
2.    Our lives need to demonstrate that we are disciples of Christ so that our witness will not be compromised, and we can attract others to Christ and make them disciples too (1 Peter 3:16)

I trust you are well.

This quarter, we started a journey into Servant Leadership. I trust that you have been blessed by the topics covered so far.

In many cultures, it is assumed that age and experience are non-negotiable ingredients for effective leadership. But are they? That is one of the questions we shall be exploring this Sunday as we look at the topic: Young and old can be effective in leadership.

Key Learning Points include:

1. Each one of us has a unique role and assignment in God’s service and we discover our unique place through the knowledge of God’s word and a life of fellowship with Him.
2. Effective leadership is about operating in one’s area of calling and gifting, going where God sends and saying/teaching/doing what He commands (Jeremiah 1:7; 1 Timothy 4:6). People with different gifting will approach the same task differently/ not trying to be someone else.
3. Effective leadership requires training, diligence, commitment, and devotion, regardless of age (1 Timothy 4:7-14)
