The power of God at Work in us
Brethren,
I trust this meets you well.
Our quarter study this week is a challenge for us to let our Christianity to show in the way we live. Our topic is “Practical Christianity.”
The key point to note from this study is that God wants our Christianity to be lived out in everyday life issues. Three ways this can happen are:
- In our everyday interactions with other believers, our love and devotion to God should show in our love and devotion to fellow believers. Some ways this can play out is in the genuineness of our love for fellow believers; in our readiness to forgive and disregard the offenses of others.
- In our attitude in difficult times: In tough times, our attitude should be that of a hope-filled joy that will enable us to feed our enemies when they are hungry; in our patience as we wait for God to come through; and in our untiring prayer
- In our response to living in a world where persecution, injustice, hatred, and enmity is the order of the day. Jesus commands us to bless those who persecute us and never to curse them. And we can do this because vengeance belongs to God, and we can trust God to deal with the situation at His time.
