Nehemiah: A Vessel of Restoration

Last Sunday, we explored the meaning and implication of Jesus’ resurrection. That study reminded us that Christ’s resurrection is the foundation of the Christian faith, among other lessons. This Sunday, we shall be looking at: Nehemiah’s love for God and for His people.
Key lessons should include that:
1. Love for God is cultivated through a love for God’s word and attitude of obedience to His word.
2. Like Jesus left His throne above, Nehemiah was willing to give up everything in pursuit of God’s glory.
3. Confession and repentance are key to the pursuit of God’s glory and the spiritual well-being of God’s people.
