The power of God at Work in us
Brethren,
How has your week been? mine has been quite eventful.
This Sunday, we come to an exciting aspect of Romans:
Imagine having your name appear on the honors list of your school, or inducted into the hall of fame of one of the greatest organs in the world. Apostle Paul did that for dozens in this closing chapter of Romans. And that is what we will be exploring under the topic: Greetings and Encouragement.
In concluding the book of Romans, Apostle Paul shows us how we can encourage one another by:
1. Greeting fellow believers by name. This demonstrates how connected Paul was with these believers even though he had never been there. He remained in touch with those he had previously met and through them extended his ministry to the whole church.
2. Acknowledging and commending the contributions and efforts of other brethren and the specific part each played.
a. This highlights the fact that although we are all members of one body, we have different roles to play, and each role, big or small, is vital.
b. And shows the expected unity and connectedness that should be experienced in the Body of Christ.
3. Being considerate in how we admonish one another.
a. He did not mention the names of the troublemakers, the way he mentioned the names of those who were doing well.
b. Encouraged all to continue in what is good and innocent and guileless as to what is evil.

I like the spur part in Hebrews 10:24-25.
