We continue our series on the Person and Ministry of the Holy Spirit with a look at the intercessory ministry of the Holy Spirit. See attached outline for your reference.
Key Learning Points
- Our God is so kind. He gave us His Holy Spirit to intercede for us in addition to all the other things He does for us. God did not even want to leave us to be praying for ourselves all by ourselves, He made provision for our weaknesses.
- Our weaknesses include not knowing what to pray for as we ought. Also, maybe not even sure of God’s will in that situation. Hence, the Holy Spirit prays for us according to the will of God. So we have confidence that we are covered because God will ALWAYS answer the prayers and intercession of the Holy Spirit.
- The ministry of intercession of the Holy Spirit helps conform our prayer to God’s will. This should give us confidence, hope, courage, and boldness to live fearlessly for God because that is our assurance of victory.
May the Lord continue to comfort us as we come to grips with the passing of our own Uncle Chike. one of those situations when we don’t know what to pray.
